Eroteme presents an evening of wild electronics and sonic exploration in collaboration with LOL Editions, Manchester’s experimental music imprint. Their TRAX series interrogates rhythm, tone and noise via international conversation — and on 30 October they bring two visionary artists to PINK:

  • MSHR (USA) — the duo of Birch Cooper and Brenna Murphy, who construct immersive, choreographed environments from generative systems, feedback sculpture and real-time synthesis.

  • Selman — a Manchester-based producer whose work fuses fractured grooves, spectral textures and deconstructed club logic into something both visceral and abstract.

Throughout the night, expect light and sound circuits to intertwine, DSP trickery, lush pads collapsing into noise, and a visceral journey across 56+ minutes of transformed time.

MSHR is an art collective that collaboratively builds and explores sculptural electronic systems.\ \ Their performances and installations integrate electrical signals and human presence, weaving dense networks of causality to form audiovisual environments that babble with a life-like current.\ \ They explore intuitive and technical gradients between sonic and sculptural forms, using analog circuitry and open-source software to sculpt mutually resonant hyperobjects.\ \ MSHR was founded by Brenna Murphy and Birch Cooper in 2011 in Portland, Oregon, as an offshoot from the collective Oregon Painting Society. \ \ The name MSHR is a modular acronym designed to hold varied ideas over time. It can be pronounced as an acronym or like one who meshes.

Operating from the UK, Selman—aka Selman Warrington—works with “throwaway tracks” constructed using **MaxMSP, SuperCollider and modular systems.”

Selman His practice spans algorithmic improvisation, modular synthesis, glitchy abstraction and raw digital experiment. Expect unpredictable shifts, micro-rhythms and shimmering textural interplay.

LOL Editions is a Manchester-based label dedicated to experimental computer music and adventurous sound. With an international roster of artists, the label’s TRAX series explores the outer edges of rhythm, tone and noise — from circuit-bent textures and DSP wizardry to lush pads and phased-out synthesis. Each release invites listeners into a world where club logic, abstract composition and sonic mischief collide.
